Travel Match at Elmira against KPTC of Winston Salem
Picture it – Elmira, Saturday, June 30th. With rain in the forecast, summer’s humidity well upon us and cancellation on our minds, we decided to risk it and move forward with the season’s first travel match. We got off to a slow start in singles leading by only one match then swept the last four, including both ladies singles. We led the doubles 6-2 and the mixed 4-1.

In spite of having fewer Magic members in attendance we were able to bring home the trophy again. The annual gathering as always was on Memorial Day weekend in Wilmington, NC.
I only heard of some of the wonderful victories this year. We were well represented in Wilmington. Some of our younger members really helped rack up the points.
